The Search Committee was appointed by the Executive Committee to recommend a candidate for the position of vicar.  Pam Schulien and Kathy Moore were named as co-chairs.

The process includes four steps before calling a new leader.

1. Preparation - We met with the deployment officer of the diocese and then organized the committee.
2. Self-Study - We held "Focus Groups" during the summer.
3. Search - We are in this stage now.  It includes submitting a "Search Request" to the diocese and they forward this to the national church as well.  We are now in the process of preparing a "Profile" which will explain who we are.
4. Discernment - We will be given a number of candidates who the diocese recommends and we will narrow them down to one recommendation.
